We only sell eggs from breeding trios of award-winning show quality bantam Salmon Faverolles. You are buying the same birds that we use ourselves! Each egg is marked with its collection date and a letter indicating which breeding pen it came out of. All of our birds are permanently wing-banded with their own unique identification number, and we use a software system to keep detailed records of our breeding program and show wins. One of our pullets took Best of Breed and Best of Variety (Salmon) in the Junior Division at the 2023 Ohio Nationals as well!
Yes! C & B Coop is a certified pullorum-free farm. Our National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) number is 22-447. You can be confident that we meet testing requirements for a healthy flock according to the NJ Department of Agriculture. We also routinely screen for intestinal parasites through the NJ Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory to make sure that our flock is not carrying any parasites like roundworms or coccidia. (Our mom is also a veterinarian)
Live-embryo eggs are time-sensitive and fragile to ship. To ensure a good hatch rate and minimize the chances of shipping damage, we give the options to ship all eggs via USPS Priority Mail, or USPS Priority Mail EXPRESS which is the fastest method available from the post office. Our packages contain 3" thick, high-quality foam padding with individual cutouts for each egg. After you receive your eggs, you can always reach out if there are any questions or problems, so you can get the best hatch rate for the best birds you will ever have!
Did you know that Faverolles come in many colors? In the U.S., only some varieties are currently eligible for American Poultry Association (APA) show awards, among a few others for American Bantam Association (ABA) awards. But around the world there are many Faverolles color varieties including black, buff, ermine, cuckoo, mahogany, splash, and blue. (some of which are accepted by the ABA) Our large fowl Mahogany Faverolles come from original heritage stock and the males have striking red flaming color in the wings!
psst . . . salmon faverolles are heritage breeds, which means you are basically helping the economy by buying these guys
